Californian Diving is best known for Kelp diving. This can be compared to flying in a tropical rain forest. The water temperature is cold. (though not by Canadian standards) The marine life is remarkable! The coast line is dotted with colonies of various marine mammals. Many have returned from the brink of extinction and interact playfully with divers. It is not recommended that you pursue these animals. Allow them to approach you and let them determine the limits of the encounter.
